Jeff Dorner is celebrating 40 years of service as he enters retirement. His journey with Van’s began in 1975 when he came as a customer to Van’s to build a home on his family farm. Working within his budget, Van’s helped bring that plan to life. Just four days after the house was completed, the barn was unfortunately lost in a fire.
In the midst of that hardship, Ray Van offered Jeff a position on the construction crew, marking the beginning of his career with Van’s Lumber. Although Jeff stepped away for a few years, he returned in 1985 and took on the roles of a salesman, drafter, and job coordinator.
Over the years, Jeff has been a valued part of the Van’s team, contributing his skills, dedication, and experience across multiple areas of the business.
As Jeff heads into retirement, he already has plenty to keep him busy, whether it’s checking off destinations on his travel list, tackling the ever-growing honey-do list or spending time doing what he enjoys most: hunting and fishing.
We thank him for his many years of service and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement. – The Van’s Lumber Team
